Due to the forthcoming primary elections of various parties, to elect its members who will represent them at the 2019 general elections. The National Assembly was earlier scheduled to resume on the 25th of September, 2018 has now shifted its date to October 9th to accommodate, party primaries.
The clerk of the assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori disclosed via a statement, which reads:

“This is to inform all distinguished senators and honourable Members that resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 25th September has been postponed to Tuesday 9th October due to the activities of the primaries of the political parties. All distinguished senators and honourable members are expected to resume plenary session by 10 am on the 9th of October, please.”
